The average cost of inventory items should update from every program that can put items in or out of inventory. We often credit jobs and put items into inventory that were previously not in inventory because they don't end up being used, we found that the JC Material Use program is the easiest, most direct way to hit the job without extra steps and I assumed that it updated the average cost. Just found that it does not and the only way around this would be to do an IN Inventory Adjustment plus a JC Job Cost Adjustment or use IN Material Orders which is another two-step process. Want a simpler, clean option for requisitioning inventory to and from jobs and work orders at the average cost with no mark-ups or extra-steps.
