Vista grids are highly deficient in many ways compared to newer products like Viewpoint ProContactor. It's highly unlikely that Viewpoint will ever invest in upgrading its grid technology to allow more a extensive Copy/Paste capability requested by many users in this forum.
However, a simple usability improvement would be to add the Cut, Copy, and Paste options to the cell's right-click shortcut menu, instead of having to put the cell in edit mode first. Excel work the exact same way as the Vista grids (i.e. you get different short cut menus depending upon whether you are in Edit Mode or not), but both shortcut menus include the Cut, Copy and Paste options.

You can use CTRL-V to copy into a cell, even if it's not in edit mode. Note that you won't actually SEE the pasted value till you tab out though.
And the ability to copy multiple cells! I need this more than anything.
