As a general contractor, we have a large percentage of contracts that are structured as Cost plus Fee with a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP). These jobs typically have negotiated billing rates for labor. These are kept in the JB T&M Template Setup. It is important for our Project Managers to see the Owner's Cost or 'Billed Cost' of their labor because then need to see if they are getting close to the GMP. We have struggled with this since we started using Vista PM in 2008. We watch it now with a custom report using a view called vrvJBLaborRates that matches the JC record to it's JB rate based on Craft, Class, Factor, etc. There are some drawbacks to this because the JB T&M Template Setup only tracks one rate change and when we try to bring JC data to (or when you try to bring JC data to Team), it doesn't see the billing rate which is misleading to the PM. Please figure out a way to get the Billing Rate or Billed Cost into the JCCD Record.

This continues to be a major problem for us. I'd be curious to know if other companies have found a better way to address this issue for their financial projections.
