Over the course of many years our Viewpoint database has grown mainly due to converting to a paperless environment, to the extent our attachments now consume a larger portion of disk than our data.
To be selectively able to archive data with attachments to offline media ie. DVD's could help in improving performance and still being able to retrieve information if required.
