Vista Identity Server records logs at Viewpoint Remote Service\Logs but the log entries are not always helpful in troubleshooting login issues. Are different response codes received from Windows or SQL Server, depending on the login type, that could be added to the logfiles if an acount is locked out, disabled, if the account doesn't even exist or if the password has expired? Also, if the password is correct for SQL Server or Windows logins but if the user is deactivated in Vista could that be added to the logs, too?
If the username does not exist in Viewpoint DDUP it will write these errors to DDAL instead of to Identity Service logs
