The IN Transfer is immediate. There is currently no "receipt" function at the receiving location and no way to monitor items showing "in transit". We have a number of warehouses across the country and have an immediate need to track in transit items between the initial transfer order location and the receipt location.
The posting should not automatically put goods on hand in the receiving warehouse. It should fulfil the "allocation" on the shipping warehouse but the goods should go into a "in transit" state (reportable) so that we can monitor the differences between materials that are received and those that are not.
Please incorporate this into the system along with a table to manage carrier and BOL# for carriers as well as shipping weights.
