vMailQueueArchive does not have a DateTime column other than SentDate and FailureDate. However, there are times when FailureDate and SentDate are both NULL so unable to sort by these two columns so need to query the table directly so can order by MailQueueID column. What error condition happens when both SentDate and FailureDate get inserted as NULL values to this table? Our support database (VPSupport611) has these as well as the customers.
Requesting that this form/view/table expose the MailQueueID column to the view, add a new column of SubmittedDate as it is possible to have SentDate and FailureDate to both be NULL so sorting on those columns is not intuitive. I have been directing customers to query vMailQueueArchive table directly because of these form errors.
Another request would be to not return _any_ rows when the form is opened but instead first present the user with search dialog box to filter the contents of vMailQueueArchive which would (I think) resolve the out of memory. Many customers do not like purging the vMailQueueArchive table as it is a historical record. If they could first filter the VA Message Archive form by > or < a certain date, select other values for the columns it would return a smaller dataset.
Also, when the first attempt at sending an email fails our software will populate the error column with what the error was but if subsequent sending attempts (if VP Services are configured for it) are successful it is not intuitive to users looking at this form if it succeeded or not as the Error column has details in it. It _is_ useful to have a reason listed for why it required more than one attempt to send an email so unsure what to change here. Unsure if any changes are in the hopper for this but perhaps pull in UX team? |
