When entering a pending change order that affects a purchase order, the amount in the 'purchase amount' field is added (or subtracted) to both the original purchase order amount AND the current purchase order amount while the transaction is pending. The PM Pending Change Order program reflects these numbers, as well as the standard Viewpoint 'Create and Send' templates. The Purchase Order Status Report reflects the correct numbers.
Once the pending change order is approved, the original purchase order amount corrects itself.
I believe this process should be mirrored off of the subcontract change order process to where pending change order amounts do not affect the original contract amount.
