I work with several windows open on my desk top at all times. The Vista window takes up a quarter of one monitor. Really? When at the main menu, over half the space is just white space. PLEASE let ME decide how big I want my windows to be.

Dragging from the corner allows one to enlarge the window, but the main menu window needs to have the ability to make it as small as the user wants it to be. Currently there is a minimum limit with plenty of unused blank space. Monitor space is at premium. Having this wasted space makes me compromise on other windows I have open.
you cannot make it bigger by re-sizing it, only the space expands.
You should be able to do that like most other programs by dragging the corner of the window? Unless I'm misinterpreting your question?
