Currently, the only way to attach documents/ backup to GL journal entries is directly in GL Journal Transaction Entry from before the batch is posted. A lot of time additional documentation has to be added after the batch had already been posted , and the only work around would be to pull previously posted transaction back into a new batch, but even that option is only available while the accounting month is still open, once the month is closed DM stand alone attachments is the only option to save the documents in Vista, which id not a very effective option when it comes to document retrieval.
