Currently a Viewpoint Grid may be showing many columns, the visibility of some of which depend on values within the lines on the form. Let's call these lines various "Types". This means that as you click on various lines, various columns hide/show themselves.

Example: SM Work Orders :: Work Completed tab. If you have multiple "Line Types" shown, click on various lines, and you will see columns change (show/hide themselves). This happens other places in Viewpoint, and is quite useful so you don't see columns that don't pertain to the "type" of line you are in.

Problem: When you tap in the FILTER BAR at the top (or in one of the fields) of a DIFFERENT LINE TYPE than what is currently selected, the form visually jumps left/right, and while the cell selected might be the right one, it might have shifted way left/right on the screen, kinda unsettling.

I realize handling column hiding/showing is tricky, so may I propose the following?

1. Capture target column name, and target cell.
2. Show/Hide columns (as currently happens)
3. Select the cell as your currently do, then also scroll left/right so the column position the user selected is the X value on screen as it was before.

This way the user will be either BACK ON TRACK, or at least CLOSE to where they intended to be, instead of hunting left/right sometimes to find out where the field the selected, went.
