Would like the Alt Tab function to work on thumb nails displayed. It is possible to switch between programs and open forms but thumbnails do not display when jumping around with the alt tab function

yes, I usually have VEC open along with reports. Specifically, when I am auditing invoices, I tend to flip between the invoice image, subcontract/PO status reports, the compliance screens and possibly event the vendor master. Using the Alt Tab function, I can toggle to all the mentioned except the invoice image.
Can I assume that you mean the thumbnails that the windows OS shows for various programs as you move through a list of currently open programs?
