| What my business wants/needs - and again this is multi-tenant - is to able to filter the left side such as "Complete" or "In Progress" so that for a given technician when they expand those they (like the right side) is for the technician that is defined in the Dispatch Board Setup The fact that the right side is all that filters on technician is not helpful to the dispatchers. The users don't understand or see the benefit of apply filters on the [Info] tab to both sides, but filters on the[Technician] tab to just the right And no - the technicians are not separated by division or service center - so we can't use that. What they have asked me to do - which I feel is really bad idea - is to, as you suggest, create custom VA Inquiries for each technician such as "Joe Blow Completed" "Joe Blow In Progress" But especially in a multi-tenant environment that is nuts because a) I'd have to hard code in the technician into the query b) I'd also have to hardcode in the company So we end up with dozens of custom VA Inquiries such as 79JoeBlowCompleted 79JoeBlowInProgress 79AliceCooperCompleted 79AliceCooperInProgress 101TomSnyderCompleted etc PROBLEMS with what they want me to do a) nightmare to maintain if a change was ever needed b) We already have other custom queries - 9 show on the board now. So if a company had 20 techs that would be 29 inquires on the left side (thus a diminishing return on the investment) I see in the queries placeholders for {{FilterByServiceCenter}} What is needed is also {{FilterByTechnicians}} Any other ideas? SUPPORT: Unfortunately those are you only option. I will create an enhancement issue with your notes. |
