General Dispatch board customizations to save vertical space

I'd like to see some attention given to vertical space on the dispatch board. Right now we are maxed out showing 15 techs, being able to see barely two lines of overlapping items.

Other solutions solve this be using MUCH LESS vertical screen space above/below the dispatch board, as well as making the rows a bit more compact.

In the SM Dispatch board, perhaps the following could be considered:

  • Show / Hide the whole SEARCH bar by toggling a 'Search' button at the top.
  • Show / Hide the tabs [Hourly, 1 Day, 3 Day, 1 Week, 2 Week Choose Dates] via a CALENDAR toggle button at the top.
  • Allow the user (or company) to customize the vertical and horizontal margins around Trips and UnavailableTime. (in pixels most likely, and either one number that covers both vertical and horizontal, or one for each)

Allowing us the flexibility to do the above would greatly benefit those of us with many technicians.

Anyone else have ideas for making the screen space more usable in the Dispatch Board?
