There should be a process that makes the effective date for the reporting year update on each employee and dependent or the process needs to read dates on the tab in ACA History tab. OR make the HR Benefit Initialization process ALL employees instead of just one at a time.
Our open enrollment is in May of each year so we can't change the Effective date on the HR Benefit codes because that is the date used for the "new rate". Maybe you can add a ACA effective date here that can be initialized to all the employees and dependents with the benefit codes.
There should also be a place for the self-insured box that covers the whole company instead of each employee. We are self-insured but I have to go in and check that box on every employee.
Expiration date entered on a benefit code/dependent shouldn't exclude that dependent on reporting unless the date is prior to the reporting year.
