Would it be possible in the future to copy and paste from excel into the working grids? For example, it would be great if in a Journal Entry we could copy and paste a bunch of account numbers at once, and then a bunch of values, etc.
Maybe a solution would be some sort of checkbox to enter into “copy and paste mode” where Vista doesn’t try and verify each line of data is complete, until you uncheck the “copy and paste mode” when you’re finished copying the data into the grid and all needed values are present.
Another possibility that Eric Vasbinder mentioned would be to validate on save and not validate on field entry. There's no doubt, there's value to validation on entry but maybe the validation on entry could just put a warning up at the top and then on save it would prevent you from saving with bad data.
Some way to toggle between the current status quo and a freer grid edit mode would be great.
