Here’s an example. Let’s say that an employee accrues 8 hours of vacation each month. There is an accrual cap of 100 hours. An employee has 100 hours vacation accrued prior to taking a week's vacation February 11-15, 2019. When the biweekly payroll for the period February 10-23 is run on March 1, the employee doesn’t get a March accrual of 8 hours because Vista sees the 100 hours accrued before seeing the 40 hours vacation taken in February.
