a "hot key / Fkey" that is a repeat key - would repeat the last thing entered -

If you have fields to be populated with same data - would not have to retype. For example, if entering time for different employees, but had same job info or time info, could hit F3 or some key and would automatically populate with last data entered for that field. 

This could also be used in AP - if entering invoices and may have same vendor with multiple invoices - Can hit F3 or some key and would automatically populate vendor info with prior vendor. 

Could also be used in AR - typing detail on invoice - could repeat for line items.

  Have you tried using Field Properties (F3) and setting Default to 'Previous'?  New records should then default a value in that field based on your previous entry.
