Inputting invoice numbers from and to

There should be a way to input invoice 101401-101410 and then be able to then input 110400-110410. Instead of only having the option only go in consecutive order you should be able to set the range so that you are only filling in the sections you need.

    In Vista when I input invoice numbers if I start at 100122 it will fill in
    all the invoices after to get to the total I need. But there are occasions
    when I need to go from 100122-100138 then skip to 100155 and go to 100559.
    Is there a way I can select the invoice numbers like a start and stop or
    from and to instead of it consecutively filling in the invoice numbers?
