When running JC Contract Purge you should receive an error or warning message that there are open items associated with contract; e.g. releasing retainage.

A contract was purged prior to all retainage being released and now I have no way to release it. I can create a invoice outside the system and apply and relieve retention through AR Cash Receipt but then job/contract history looking screwed up.
