We leave payment batches open while checks are being signed and then scan and attach them to their respective transactions before the batch is posted. At times, a user will forget to attach the checks and post the batch. There are two ways to attach the copies of the checks to the original transaction and they are both not easy.
The first one would require opening an AP check batch and clearing the check numbers to be used again and then assigning the check numbers again and attaching the scans. This is too much work just to attach an image.
The second involves finding the check number in AP Payment History program and then attaching the scan this way. As per Viewpoint, this is not an area that people should be "in and out" of on a regular basis. This is not a viable option.
If we can add AP Check Transaction to the DM Transaction Attachments form then we can go in an attach the transaction with that form.
