Have a robust GL Financial report designer built into Vista would be hugely beneficial. Not having to rely on 3rd party software would be great. Built in monthly trend and comparison reports for the income statement would be a huge help.

This needs to get done. The current reports are absolutely atrocious. I reached out to Insight Software about their financial reporting and they want to charge $3,000/year. Ridiculous.
It's been 5 years since I created this suggestion and nothing has been done. This program was sold to me as an all inclusive pogram. No more spreadsheets for all your seperate work. Now Trimble/Viewpoint/Vista is relying on 3rd parties more and more to get things done. Frustrating to say the least.
I have never worked with a software that had such a weak GL module. We had to buy and set up FM which is better than nothing, but it seems Viewpoint wants to support their third party partners rather than provide useful financial reporting. I am still using FM knowing it is no longer supported. Spreadsheet Server is EXPENSIVE and I am not happy that I have to look for third party solutions for financial reporting.
Let's not go there, FM was a disaster that VP would never fully commit to.
