I was wondering how may other companies are having this problem. I think there should be an override to Mark the final AP as closed. We always have to log a call and wait for support to close the week.

While we can’t do everything at once, we rely upon your feedback to help guide the prioritization of our product improvements, and Suggestion Box is a critical tool for us to understand and prioritize our customers’ needs.
Viewpoint reviews Suggestion Box regularly for all of our products and updates statuses, adds comments, and performs various house-keeping (including deleting) as needed to ensure that Suggestion Box is maintained as a productive environment for product enhancements requests.
We have this issue, too. Instead of asking support to fix it, we open the payroll week back up and run the PR AP Update and then close the payroll week. That seems to fix the problem. But it is very annoying that we have the issue in the first place.
