Many companies adopt the 4-4-5 week accounting month periods. With Vista only utilizing a calendar month process, often times there are many posting errors where the accounting calendar crosses between months. An addition of a custom or standard 4-4-5 calendar would greatly reduce erroneous postings.

I think, this would be a very handy feature for those customers that use 4-4-5 week accounting month period. We can certainly create a calendar mapping each week to an accounting period, but I am not quite seeing how we can prevent posting errors since all transaction are processed with batches. Each batch is specific to an accounting period and users have to select a batch month before any transaction dates are entered. How do you envision this to work in Vista to help prevent posting errors?
