Currently in Vista if you have a customer or vendor that is entered in as 'Mr John Smith' you can only find that customer or vendor by typing in 'Mr'. If you try to search them by typing in 'Smith' it doesn't show up. Most other accounting packages allow better sort capabilities and would hope that Vista could address this asap. It is very frustrating and often means that customers and vendors become duplicated in the database because users can't easily find them.

In the filter bar either in the grid or in the look up put an asterix '*' then type in 'Smith' and it will show up.
