We at Viewpoint sincerely thank you for your contribution to Suggestion Box on how we can improve Viewpoint products. While we can’t do everything at once, we rely upon your feedback to help guide the prioritization of our product improvements, and Suggestion Box is a critical tool for us to understand and prioritize our customers’ needs.
Viewpoint reviews Suggestion Box regularly for all of our products and updates statuses, adds comments, and performs various house-keeping (including deleting) as needed to ensure that Suggestion Box is maintained as a productive environment for product enhancements requests.
If I'm understanding your suggestion correctly, you can accomplish this by changing the system overrides within the field properties. For the required field, right click and select Field Properties. Under validation, change the Level to "3-Show Error, Stay on Input". Other options include the below...as indicated by the descriptions, the first two will allow the user to save without inputting the value.
0-No Warning, Allow Save
1-Warning, Allow Save
2-Show Error, Disallow Save
3-Show Error, Stay on Input
I am not aware of any system-wide setting or default setting.
