In the Material Sales invoicing process there is no way to cap individual county rates for a $5,000 rule in the State of Florida. For example, if a customer has an invoice total of $8,500 the State Tax Rate of 6% applies on the entire amount, but the County Tax Rate (which can vary by County) stops at $5,000. So the State Tax would be $8,500 X .06 = $510 but the County Tax (1% Counties) would be $5,000 X .01 = $50 and not $8,500 X .01 = $85.00.
This same premise holds true for PO/AP invoices and was reported in another Suggestion. There is another caveat that state if a customer or vendor submits a PO over $5,000 that designates what they want, how much, and when that only the first $5,000 of customer invoices or vendor invoices for that PO are taxed the County $5,000 cap and all additional invoices are not taxed any County Tax. This would be an override at the PO and Customer Quote level in addition to the $5,000 cap rule per invoice.

This is something that we just heard about at my branch level but is affecting or FL branches. Currently the only way around this is to issue a credit for the extra tax that is being charged and send a mock up invoice to the customer.
This needs to be fixed to handle the cap and alleviate the number of credits having to be issued.
