We reimburse employees for travel expenses through the payroll system and we want to be able to charge this cost to the job, but we also want to be able to use JC Fixed Rates set up on the PR Employee record to charge labor at a fixed rate. But, the way the system is currently set up, all expenses coded to jobs are just going to the Employee's home department, since we have a JC Fixed Rate set up. We would like for you to add a checkbox on the PR Earnings Codes that would say "Not Subject to Fixed Rates" and if that box is checked then that Earnings Code would not use the Fixed Rates, but just pass through at actual cost to the job (or EM or SM).
In one of our other companies, there is a similar problem when using the JC Fixed Rate Template in Job Cost, where we have to delete out the Craft and Class from each payroll transaction entry for expense reimbursement transaction in order for the cost for those Earnings Codes to pass through onto the job. If this box was added on the Earnings Code to say "Not Subject to Fixed Rates", that could also be used to override this in the system, so that when those Earnings Codes are used, the actual cost is charged out to jobs instead of the system trying to use the Fixed Rate Template.
