The Vendor Master ‘ Name’ field is used to print on checks
as well as on 1099’s. In many cases to properly print company names on checks
the Vendor Master ‘Additional Info’ field is then used.
However 1099 print does not use the ‘Additional info’ field & there
Is a company name length restriction – for the 1099 download file. The file download will error out if there are too many characters in the name field.
The IRS regulates that the company name on the 1099 must be correct
This needs to be fixed to adhere to IRS regulations.
