When unit price jobs are bid, some line items are bid at zero so the Owner can increase the subs contract when used.
EX: Owner #X0325315 on the subs pay app as a CY with zero. The contract states that they may use this line item and ask for change orders to increase the contract. We would put into the Sub Ledger as follows:
LI 1 Units 0.00 UM SY Unit Cost 150.00 Total amount 0.00
This allows the accountant to add Units when billing for the sub. It also allows for the contract to balance.
