In VA User Profile, there is an option called "Save Last Used SSRS Parameters". This is useful if someone pulls the same SSRS report multiple times.
But it conflicts with something: Custom button report launching! It appears that the "Last Used Parameters" are being shoved into the window AFTER the custom supplied parameters.
Lets say you make a custom button to launch a report (Example: A "Picklist" from within IN Transfer Entry). You then hook the button to feed custom parameter values into your "Picklist" report. Things like Company, Month, and BatchID.
Now lets say you pull that report for some batch, then close it, and go into a new IN Transfer Entry and tap the button again. What would you expect to happen?
a) See the new values for the new batch.
b) See the old values from the previous batch.
What we expect is (a). The custom supplied parameters should ALWAYS by pushed into that report params window. Period. They should override everything else.
But what we get is (b). That is confusing. Why would I want some previous value to be there instead of what I'm purposely trying to see?
Please consider making custom supplied parameters the most important when launching a report.
