There should NOT be an extra margin added on the left when the user hits the quicker 'Print' button, verses no extra margin when they hit "Print Preview -> Print".
To see it for yourself, create a simple SSRS report with 0.1 margins all the way around. Now add static content or a pattern of some kind so you can see how close it prints to the edge. Next, "Print" it from within viewpoint, and and "Preview -> Print" it. Compare the results.
Do your printouts differ? Is this something the user would expect? :-)
