Quickbooks Online provides a test environment that resets every night. Given that Viewpoint is now heavily into the cloud space and spinning up a VM is relatively trivial it would seem to make sense to provide a testbed where users could test new concepts or see how a particular vista feature works in a temporary cloud environment.
Quickbooks is much simpler than Vista which makes the proposition much more challenging however it's probably easier than dealing with test companies within vista. Also, if it's VM or container based then environments can be deleted and spun up relatively automagically or on demand.
