All of our OpCos are now set up with the arrears/payback function, and overall it saves us time. However, there is one big pain point with it that I'd like to request an enhancement for. If a setup error or change is made, and a correction is needed to a large number of employees as a result, we cannot process all employees anymore because arrears will calculate a second time. Instead we have to reprocess the employees one by one so arrears won't calculate in error. This can be quite time consuming.
The setup errors or changes I'm referring to are errors made in Pay Period Control setup or a change made to a deduction code. An example of this occurred this week. Pay frequency W was left off the Pay Period Control setup by mistake. Since the payroll process had already been done (and arrears calculated) when the error was found, we had to reprocess a large number of employees one at a time so the W frequency deductions would calculate without calculating arrears again.
Could an enhancement be made to VP so the system recognizes that arrears have already been calculated for a pay period and not calculate them a second time when a reprocess is needed?
