It would be nice to have a way to hold one or more payroll checks in the batch when printing. Sometimes we have employees that don't yet have final timecards or final deductions, but all the others are ready, and it would be helpful to be able to hold those one or two people, instead of the entire batch. Yes, we can add in parameter by employee, but we'd have to run multiple check runs to exclude the two people. This way we can move forward with payroll and not hold up the entire company because of one person. Yes, we could not update this information in Vista, but again, this is extra steps on our part to accommodate this. Our software should be able to help us in this regard, in my opinion.

Lena,
Have you tried changing the "hold" employees to Manual check in Employee Pay Seq Control and saving the record. Once you are ready to process you could switch it back to computer check and print the held checks. I haven't tested this, but it seems like it should work.
