It would be nice if you could chain together reviewer groups. E.g. you specify three regular groups: one for approval that you will use for all companies (e.g. CFO) and two other groups that are different based on individual companies. You then create two "chained" review groups, each a combination of the overall (CFO) group and one of the more specific groups. This would help maintain consistency in the review structure, given that if you need to change the overall (CFO) group, you only change it once and those changes are immediately reflected in the chained groups.

As an alternative (but potentially more confusing for users), Viewpoint would have an override system that exists at the company level. This would allow you to set overall reviewer groups in that are available in all companies, but each company could override that reviewer group for its own needs.
For example, say you have a reviewer group of 05-010 for your corporate/global HR department. You also have a couple subsidiaries that each have their own regional HR manager. You want your invoice (and PO) approvals to first go to the regional HR manager then, depending on threshold amount, go to the corporate HR manager for approval. As a result, you setup a 05-010 override in each company that inserts its own regional HR manager into the approval process.
Again, I think a "chaining" concept would work better but thought I'd suggest this if it's easier to accomplish. Note I've used HR above only as a simple example to consider, so please don't focus on HR specifically.
