This idea has been merged into another idea. To comment or vote on this idea, please visit VSTA-I-1972 When a document that is scanned into DM is prompted to be indexed. If a document is dragged/dropped into DM, the same prompt to index the document should be available..

Add a prompt to Index a document when you drag and drop or scanning it into Vista Merged

With the push to go paperless is more and more, there are many additional attachments that will be added into Vista that are not done from a transaction but maybe in support of a transaction - like an email approval to hire or pay an invoice. It would be nice to be able to index the email or scanned document "on the fly".

  This would be slightly more useful than the "Added to Queue" popup. :-)
