It would be very useful to add in summary functionality on the grid tab, of any given form, to summarize the numerical values of a column. The summary would update if the data is filtered as well. This would be a nice quick reference when filtering data for analysis on forms such as: PC Potential Projects, PR Timecard Entry, JB T&M Bill Line Sequences, etc. I envision it to look very similar to the Totals line on the Items tab of JB Progress Biling form, which does update the totals of the filtered data.

Glad to see this is moved to a "Planned" status. Every day, I wish I had this feature is so many forms.
Gary, I thought of another form for the grid totals: JC Contract Master/ PM Contracts. I would use it specifically in the Current Amount and Billed Amount columns for a quick look at where we are on total billings compared to current contract value.
Gary, I would prioritize JB T&M Bill Line Sequences first, then PR Timecard Entry. PC Potential Projects would be nice, but not a dire need. Next I would pick IN Physical Count Worksheet. I'm sure I could come up with more, but those are the top forms we feel are struggling with that feature missing.

Agree, a Field Property setting (F3) would be nice, but Vista's current grid control requires coding for each column total and not practical it implement everywhere.
A prioritized list to work from would be most helpful. As noted, we added totals to JB Progress Billing and plan on adding to T&M next.
Currently it's a hit or miss on what fields it summerizes. It would be nice to see options for this in either
(right click - options) on summary bar at bottom
or F3 Field Settings (summarize into bottom bar) option.
