we generally don't itemize our invoices in Viewpoint, but we often have situations where a single invoice applies to multiple phases. Currently, we have to pick which phase we want to have such an invoice hit our project budgets, but it often results in an end of job situation where one phase is dramatically over budgeted, and another is dramatically under budgeted. Take for example CPVC and DWV plastic materials for plumbing. Technically, CPVC is an alternate to copper materials (as is pex), yet both are physically made of plastic. We often are running these lines at the same time as DWV installs, so we will get an invoice from a supplier that has both material types on it. We need to have the ability to allocate the invoice amounts to phase 1 for DWV, and phase 2 for copper.
