Right now when you go to login to Vista, you have to type in your password 3 times before you can get in. For security purposes, I think this should be increased by at least 7-8 times. And one of those times you have to enter a different secondary password. And it won't tell you which login of the 8 times that you're suppose to enter your secondary instead of your primary password, you just have to guess until you get it right. And as always, if you guess wrong more then 3 times, your account gets locked. That way everybody wins!

This is hilarious! This password thing with Vista is getting more and more ridiculous.
It's when you first login. You click on the VP icon on your desktop that is blue and looks like an upside down C thingie, and then you have to type in your password one time, and then after that it's like "wait, I didn't hear you the first time. Can you type it in a little bit louder?" so then you type it in again and then it's like "Oh ok, come right in sir." and then immediately you get another pop up for viewpoint being like "login and password please" and I'm like "Dude, the 1st bouncer already carded me twice. Why do I have to give you my junk again?" and he's like having none of it and I HAVE to give it all over again before I can get to the good stuff. Anyways, I was thinking if we put in a few more security checks in between those guys, that would really keep all our data and money safe. Just something to think about.
Would you mind extrapolating a little more on WHERE you type it in? (form names, VP websites, VP servies...etc)?
This relates to something called "SSO" (Single Sign On) which is typically enabled by your network administrator, along with whatever services / programs you use.
Vista SHOULD be SSO aware (I think they are working on this), but for now the 'remember username' and 'Remember password' seem to work fine for getting into the VP client,
As far as other vista-related sites and services:
"Financial Manager" was certainly not SSO aware, but is retired.
Spreadsheet Server does not require passwords, as I believe it uses the info saved internally, or uses SSO.
SSRS reports can use SSO, if set up properly.
Other sites/services used by VP for AP related operations? Hopefully someone can outline what these are, and how close each one is to using SSO. :-)
