The PIER Report currently uses pay period end dates and it needs to use Pay Dates as per legislation. Unless the pay end date and pay date land in the same year, the report is always off by that first/last pay of the year.

This is a huge problem. Our year end balance is showing as incorrect. This impacts our business in many departments.
This is affecting our year end balancing and has cost us several thousand a year in incorrect values. when we file with the CRA we have to pay the difference
