Add a field that allows the user to pick the primary way they want to be contacted from Support, example: Cell phone, office phone or email. Then have the corresponding fields on their profile with the information.
I generally always need to be contacted by email, however I need to specify that on each ticket and Support does not always pay attention to that request. They will leave a voice mail and I may be travelling and not realize they left a vm until late in the day, missing my chance to connect with support in a timely manner.
