Example (NNN) NNN-NNNN. This would save time and potentially a lot of data entry errors. It would be great to be able to change this all in one place and have the format applied through the system.

It would be great If bPhone could be set at a system level for all phone numbers to allow international formating.
Yes!! I realize other countries have other phone formats, but since we only do work in the US, why not allow us to set up our phone fields so they always capture that info?
A bonus feature would be if the phone field had something like
(___) ___-____when empty, and then as you filled it in, it would swap the placeholder char for the number you entered. For example a partially filled field (invalid still) would look like(111) 44_-____
