We would like to be allowed the ability to choose to NOT inactivate the leave codes as well as the option to inactivate the leave codes upon termination. We pay about 1,400 field employees weekly and our employees come and go regularly. We discovered when we rehire the terminated employee, his leave codes remain inactive. This forces us to manually activate those leave codes we didn't want to inactivate upon termination. We have Federal and State mandated leave codes that we need to be active for when the employee moves to a job that requires that leave code. Now we have had to create a report to list active employees with inactive leave codes so we can reactivate those leave codes - a new task we weren't anticipating. With our employee rehire rate, we will likely end up reactivating the same leave codes multiple times - every time he returns. We also discovered that we cannot terminate employees as needed for our organization for security purposes but now have to wait until the pay period he was last paid in is closed before terminating him or we get an error that his leave codes are inactive each time we update the ledger.

This is terrible. As a manufacturing/construction company we very often put workers on temporary layoff. Vista makes sure to remind you that you have to make them inactive, but now I have to worry about their leave time balances too? Super inconvenient for us.
