It seems like about 90% of the time spent "Posting" batches everywhere is actually spent generating Crystal reports and then saving as attachments into HQ Batch Control.
To test this, open a testing company and post a couple batches of anything WITHOUT the checkboxes checked. Notice how fast it is. Now go back and post a few more WITH the checkboxes checked.
Just imagine if it was ALWAYS as fast as the "no checkboxes" test!
Is there a reason the user has to wait for the server to finish the report generation while they are posting things?
Moving the "generate report" processes onto a background thread so that the user can keep working would save a HUGE amount of time.
Please give this some consideration.
