Currently VISTA only allows a single Timecard level review process to be setup for all employees who are job costing their time. This process does not allow for multiple managers (Foreman, Superintendants and Project Managers) to review time before it is posted to thier job. A tiered approval process for Invoice Approvals is avaliable in the HQ Reviewer Group Module. Would like to see this ability become avaliable for Timecard Approvals as well.

We at Viewpoint sincerely thank you for your contribution to Suggestion Box on how we can improve Viewpoint products. While we can’t do everything at once, we rely upon your feedback to help guide the prioritization of our product improvements, and Suggestion Box is a critical tool for us to understand and prioritize our customers’ needs.
Viewpoint reviews Suggestion Box regularly for all of our products and updates statuses, adds comments, and performs various house-keeping (including deleting) as needed to ensure that Suggestion Box is maintained as a productive environment for product enhancements requests.

I added this comment to VACCTG-I-1149 and VSTA-I-2452 as well:
This is limiting our efficiency with timecard approvals as well because we have three levels of approval; 1) Supervisor in the field validating the time worked. 2) Project Manager in the office validating the coding is correct for job cost. 3) HR validating non-job time, all hours entered, and PTO.
Having a tiered workflow for Job Time would be an enormous help, but adding a tier for timecard approval is needed as well.
As for a workaround, we are currently having the field approver complete the line item approval in the Job Time Approval screen (the green checkmark on each line item), then the office approver completes their edits/approval and finalizes it in the Job Time Approval screen (the Finalize button). HR then waits for job time approval to be complete before their review.
