Set up lifetime limit on earnings codes

We have a deferred compensation program set up that individuals are paid out over 3,5,10 or even 20 year time span. The amount is set at the beginning for what their total will be. Currently, the longest we can go is annual. Deductions and liabilities can be set for lifetime so why not earnings?
