My company gets our tax exemptions per project, rather than having a blanket exemption. To account for this on purchase orders, we add a freight line to each of our POs, and manually adjust the tax code when needed (ie. a project is in CA - we pay tax on material but not on freight - so the main tax code on the job will go on all of the line items except the freight, which will have a CA-Exempt tax code instead).
All that's currently offered is the Haul Tax option in JC Jobs, which doesn't change any of the calculations done on a PO.
I am suggesting that another tax code field is created in JC Jobs (& PM Projects) that is specific to shipping. This would act like an "IF" formula in excel: if a line item on a PO says "Freight" in it somewhere, the tax code would pull in from the freight tax code field, instead of the main tax code field.
