We pay per diem based on the job an employee is working at.
Each job can have different rates, rules, etc. We are trying to automate as much of this process as possible. We want to have the per diem track to the Job phase.
I have been all over the help and knowledge base and had a call from a Vista tech this morning and was told it won't work because the JC Job Phases can't be set up in the add-on earnings or the allowances. We could set it up, but we would still be required to enter it on the PR Time Entry. This defeats the purpose, because that is how we are entering it now. We have a standard phase, but the rules are different by employee, or job. Some are daily, some are weekly, amounts are different, etc.
I feel that Vista/Viewpoint needs to address over-all set up for Prevailing Wage because it is the rule rather than the exception. We should be able to customize better the wages and deductions at the job level and have it be accurate and avoid all the auditing and spreadsheet tracking we are doing.
