My position resides almost entirely in that module. I have mobile service techs that service my equipment in multiple states, and Field Service accommodates what I would want to provide for my techs, so I hope somehow, we get this feature available for the Equipment Module.
I would like to be able to provide:
Dispatching techs
Assigning multiple techs to a work order
Attaching job plans (tool list, parts list, work instructions, etc.) to the work order
Attaching OEM manuals
Inspection forms and/or safety forms
I would like to receive:
Notes from the tech
Pictures of the work needed/done
Clock-in/out of work orders
Get live information from the techs
We also have dispatching requests for mobilizing equipment to jobsites in various states. It would be good to have a way of handling those mobilizations with costs associated for transport and handling the transfers from site to site with receiving and inspection results through the Equipment Module.
We currently use Verizon Telematics to track where equipment is and get meter readings. We then must use Excel reports and emails to track the movement of the equipment and condition when that arrives. It would be great to manage that more through the programs that Trimble offers.
